BIMSR Smart Campus Initiative
The University smart campus initiative aims to fully automate different processes of the University related to academics, research, consultancy, patient care, quality assurance and administration through integration of multiple platforms with the SAP based ERP system and by deploying AI based recommender systems and as well as IoT integrated facilities. The Smart Campus team is working on the following domains under this initiative:
- Facilitating tasks associated with student life cycle management, human resource management, administration, medical services, community engagement etc. through the SAP based ERP system running on process automation and AI controlled recommendations.
- Continuously updating COVID patient database which is instrumental in understanding the nature of the virus and future implications of the pandemic.
- Optimal distribution of power to different campus, labs, medical units and hostels from the grids.
- Smart classrooms
- Dynamic bandwidth allocation for intranet usage.
- Scalable solutions for other local institutions in the region for developing similar smart features.
